Who Should Attend: Anyone who is designated to perform overhead crane Periodic inspections including crane inspectors and crane maintenance personnel.
Required for Successful Completion: Pass a written examination.
Course Description: This course is intended for anyone designated to perform CAL OSHA  overhead crane “Periodic” inspections. The course information instructs the participant in the knowledge and safe practice of a  comprehensive periodic crane inspection in accordance to regulations and guidance of CAL OSHA  Title 8 Group 13 “Cranes and Other Hoisting Equipment”, ASME B30.2, and CMAA Spec 78, 70, and 74.  Osha 1910.179 is shared as reference to complement Cal Osha regulations. The training applies to inspections of top running overhead bridge and gantry cranes, and hoists. Successful completion of this course includes passing a written exam.
